Macbeth · Act V · Scene II

The Thanes March to Birnam

Scene summary

Near Dunsinane, Menteith, Caithness, Angus, and Lennox wait for Malcolm's army, Siward, and Macduff, and then march to meet them at Birnam. They comment on the Tyrant's state. For some it is madness, for others fury, and his men serve him out of duty, not affection.
