Literary device

Repetition

Returning to the same word, the same sentence or the same construction, at the beginning of verses or consecutive sentences (anaphora) or throughout the text, to give rhythm, emphasis or insistence.

In Madame Bovary

I have a lover! A lover!

Emma says "I have a lover! A lover!", and the second exclamation insists on the same word, as if she wanted to convince herself that she now lives what she read. The repetition gives the scene the tone of dazzlement at a title won.
