мечтатель, dreamer: one who lives in reverie. It is the word the narrator uses to introduce himself on the first night, and the name of the type he describes, in the third person, in the discourse of the second night. Nastenka replies that she too is a dreamer, and on the third night she says the dreamer described is not him.
